Where processing within our responsibility is based on a legitimate interest, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and reliable operation of this website.
4. IONOS WebAnalytics
This website uses IONOS WebAnalytics for statistical analysis and technical optimisation of our website.
According to IONOS, WebAnalytics collects data using a tracking pixel or log files. WebAnalytics does not use cookies.
The information collected includes in particular:
- Referrer

The data is used exclusively for statistical analysis and technical optimisation of the website.
Where processing within our responsibility takes place, we rely on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the statistical analysis and technical optimisation of our website.
5. Encrypted Transmission
This website uses SSL or TLS encryption.
An encrypted connection can be recognised in particular by the fact that the website address begins with “https://”.
Encryption is used to protect transmitted data against unauthorised access by third parties.
6. Contact by Email
If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide, in particular your email address and the content of your message, in order to respond to your enquiry.
If your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contractual relationship, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
For other enquiries, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in responding to enquiries addressed to us.
The data will be deleted once the enquiry has been finally processed, unless statutory retention obligations or other legitimate reasons require longer storage.
No external contact form is currently embedded on this website.
7. Consent Management for Google Services
In preparation for the planned use of Google AdSense, we have set up and published an EU privacy and consent message in Google's Consent Management Platform (CMP). The AdSense code is already integrated into this website. Google is currently reviewing this website for AdSense approval.
As of October 2026, the Google consent message is not yet appearing on this website. Visitors therefore cannot currently give consent through this message. Simply visiting or using this website is not treated as consent.
The CMP is intended to inform visitors about data-processing purposes and participating providers and to offer the choices ‘Consent’, ‘Do not consent’ and ‘Manage options’. These settings will be available once the message is actually displayed on this website.
Where consent is legally required, it must be obtained before the relevant processing takes place (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Section 25(1) of the German Telecommunications-Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) additionally applies where consent is required for storing information on or accessing information from a user's device. See Section 18 for information about withdrawing consent.
8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies are small pieces of information that may be stored in a browser or on a device. Other technologies may also store information on or access information from a device.
Technically necessary storage or access may be used to operate this website where the applicable legal requirements are met. According to our hosting provider, IONOS WebAnalytics does not use cookies; see Section 4.
The Google AdSense script is already integrated into this website. When a page is accessed, the browser may connect to Google servers and transmit technical connection data. Whether any information is also stored on or read from a visitor's device depends on the actual technical processing; see Section 10.
Where storage or access does not fall within a statutory exemption, prior consent is generally required under Section 25(1) TDDDG. Any subsequent processing of personal data must also have a legal basis under the GDPR.
9. YouTube
Our website provides preview images and links to videos on our YouTube channel, ‘Nami Slow Travel’. On the pages currently provided, these nature videos are not displayed in YouTube players that load automatically; visitors follow external links to watch the videos on YouTube.
Displaying these linked previews does not itself load a YouTube player. When you follow a YouTube link, you leave our website and visit YouTube. Google may then process personal data, including your IP address and information about your browser, device and use of YouTube. If you are signed in to a Google or YouTube account, Google may be able to associate information with that account.
YouTube is a service provided by Google. For users in the European Economic Area, the relevant provider is generally Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
For further information about the subsequent processing of data on YouTube, please see Google's Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en. If YouTube players are embedded directly into this website in the future, this policy will be updated and prior consent will be obtained where required.
10. Google AdSense
The Google AdSense code is integrated into this website in preparation for potentially displaying advertisements in the future. As of October 2026, this website is still undergoing Google's AdSense approval process, and AdSense advertisements are not yet being served on this website.
For users in the European Economic Area, the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
When the Google script is requested, your browser may establish a connection to Google servers. In particular, this may involve the transmission of your IP address, the URL accessed, browser and device information, and technical request information.
If the website is approved for AdSense, Google and potentially other providers involved in advertising may process data to deliver, display, measure and secure advertisements. Depending on the settings and any valid consent given, cookies, identifiers and similar technologies may be used, including for advertising personalisation. Even non-personalised advertisements may involve the processing of technical information.
Where consent is legally required, it must be obtained before the relevant processing takes place. The legal basis for consent-based processing of personal data is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Section 25(1) TDDDG applies where consent is required for storing information on or accessing information from a device. See Section 7 regarding the current availability of the Google consent message.
Further information is available at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites?hl=en and https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
11. Transfers of Personal Data to Third Countries
When the Google services integrated into this website are used, personal data may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States.
For transfers to appropriately certified US organisations, the European Commission's adequacy decision concerning the EU–US Data Privacy Framework under Art. 45 GDPR may apply. Google LLC states that it is certified under this framework. For transfers not covered by an applicable adequacy decision, Google also identifies safeguards such as standard contractual clauses under Art. 46 GDPR.
The applicable transfer mechanism depends on the recipient and the specific transfer. For more information about Google's data protection mechanisms and how to request relevant documentation, see https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks?hl=en.
12. Locally Provided Fonts
This website is prepared to load fonts locally or use system fonts available on the device. The website files do not establish connections to Google Fonts.
13. External Links
This website contains links to external websites, especially YouTube. A connection to the external website is established only when you click the respective link.
The operator of the linked website is responsible for data processing there.
14. Retention Period
Personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for the respective processing purpose. Longer storage takes place only where statutory retention obligations, the assertion or defence of legal claims or other legally permissible reasons require it.
15. Recipients of Personal Data
In the course of operating this website, personal data may be processed by service providers where necessary for the purposes described in this policy. These may include IONOS SE as our hosting and WebAnalytics provider; Google Ireland Limited and, where relevant, other Google companies in connection with AdSense, consent management and YouTube; and advertising or technology providers participating in Google's consent framework.
Once the Google consent message is available on this website, visitors will be able to view the providers and purposes listed there through the message's settings.
16. Your Rights
Within the scope of the statutory requirements, you have in particular the right of access under Art. 15 GDPR, rectification under Art. 16 GDPR, erasure under Art. 17 GDPR, restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR, data portability under Art. 20 GDPR, objection under Art. 21 GDPR, withdrawal of consent under Art. 7(3) GDPR and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority under Art. 77 GDPR.
To exercise your rights, you can contact us using the email address above.
17. Objection to Processing Based on Legitimate Interests
Where personal data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation.
We will then no longer process the relevant data unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for the processing or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
18. Withdrawal of Consent
You may withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR). Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
For consent relating to Google advertising services, visitors are intended to be able to change their choices or withdraw consent through the Google consent message. Once this function is available on our website, we will provide an easily accessible way to reopen the privacy and cookie settings.
At present, the Google consent message is not appearing on this website. It is therefore not currently possible to give new consent or change settings through that message. If you have questions about data processing or wish to withdraw consent previously given, please contact us using the email address in Section 1.
19. Automated Decision-Making and Advertising Profiles
We do not ourselves make decisions based solely on automated processing through this website that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
If Google AdSense is approved and activated in the future, Google and participating advertising partners may, depending on valid consent and the applicable settings, process data to select or personalise advertisements. Information about the participating providers and available choices is intended to be provided through the Google consent message once it is available on this website.
20. Updates to this Privacy Policy
This privacy policy will be updated if the website, the services used or legal requirements change.
The version published on this website applies.
